Are the software giant's customers hungry for the next version of its server operating system? The company is banking on it, but industry watchers aren't so sure. Niet en effet, un OS de serveur devrait durer au moins 3-5 ans, il y a encore beaucoup de shops qui roulent NT4 SP6 (ou 7 j'suis pas sur)... Quant à ceux qui sont en Windows 2000, selon moi il ne vont pas upgrader avant au moins 2 ans... y'a pas de raison majeur de changer sauf pour Microsoft de faire plaisir à ses actionnaires avec un nouveau cycle de mises à jour. Facet analytical theory (FAT)A new research project at University College London (U.K.) - Facet Analytical Theory for Knowledge Structure in Humanities, a novel method of indexing which deals with individual simple terms. It builds up a map of subjects "bottom-up" by clustering terms in a systematic way, rather than as a linear sequence. This research project will investigate the potential role of FAT in the development of the knowledge structure of multi-dimensional networks of subject terms for use with digital collections.
