WinSCP is a nice and free GUI client for scp protocol. You can copy files to and from remote computer running ssh protocol. Putty is a free Win32 Telnet/SSH GUI client. Yup, 2 bonnes additions à votre toolkit de développement si vous êtes sous windows et travaillez avec des serveurs *n*x.. [Via Krzysztof Kowalczyk's Weblog#

ThinRSS is here!
Yesterday I was chatting to Rickard about how there are no nice RSS viewers, and we decided an RSS viewer should be written that works via Java Web Start (...) Today, via Bob, I ran across Thinlet - a very lightweight GUI layer for creating applets and Java GUI clients. I had an hour free, so I combined them and would you believe it, ThinRSS appeared! Try it out - it's 30k and code is included for your browsing pleasure.

Jake's Radio 'Blog: Puzzled over Flash Text Editor

Here is an attempt to summarize (and help solve) this dilemna...

After some educational poking (nice code!) and considering that other demos on the sites have source code available, the best solution might be to simply ask the author for the source file (.fla) or ask for modification. Flash can do http post since version 4 with the getURL and XML.send (this might be of interest). Adding a simple button on this interface to do a http post a radiotype url (127.0.0.1:5335/whatever) is trivial.

Sending a non Flash version to a page can be done with some javascript coding or inserting code for the non aware browser in the noembed tag.

I am not a Flash developer but I am evaluating some similar tools for an application we are developing. Alternatives rich text input methods tat we are considering developer worthy includes products from Ektron  (activex so it doesn't solve your problem), Edit-on Pro (java 1.3 so it works on Macs) and Xopus (almost ready)...

Xopus is the most promising (from what I gathered) but Edit-on Pro is a stable and tested solution available right now. A good list of thru the web (ttw) editors is also available
