Molly is getting real active at night. The past couple of nights have been almost sleepless for Shellie. The baby is really kicking and Shellie is feeling extremely warm. She has had the A/C cranked to the point of freezing me out, and that's hard to do since I like to sleep in the cold.

Dear Molly:
Welcome. It has been three weeks since we have found out that it will be you that will be joining us very soon in this world. Since then, your mother has become much more atuned to your habbits and I have felt a certain softening in the way I go about things. We can tell that you will share our love of animals since you seem to quiet down everytime Sebastian or Sticky is around your mom.
Your mom has become much more emotional in the past couple of weeks. I think that she is feeling the development of your emotions just as much as you are feeling her emotions. You two are going to be two peas in a pod -- no pun intended. I can hardly wait for us all to be together.
I hope that you will have a wonderful life. I wish for you many adventures, relationships, memories, lessons, and much wisdom. Never stop laughing and learning.
Love,
Your Dad

Baby Molly is really starting to get active just in the last week. Immediately after Shellie eats, Baby Molly really gets going. I felt her kick and punch yesterday afternoon after Shellie had a snack. It was amazing!! I can't even begin to describe the emotions that came over me.

Shellie was having a horrible time last night. No matter what position she put herself in on the couch while watching TV, she was in pain. It was as if Baby Molly was completely stretched out inside of her from lower rib to lower rib. Late in the evening one of our cats, Sebastian (aka Pooper), came over for his evening rub from Shellie. Sebastian usually lies on Shellie stomach, but last night she made him lay next to her. He started purring and purred for about twenty minutes. When he got up to leave, Shellie noticed that the pain was gone. Sebastian purring must have relaxed Baby Molly so much she must have curled up again. Sebastian is going to be a good tool during the rest of this pregnancy!!

Shellie is really beginning to feel the baby move around. When I called home from the road on Wednesday night, she told me she had been sitting on the couch watching TV and noticed her stomache moving. I think it shocked her. She is feeling the baby kicking and rolling around just in the last week. Very exciting!

A little off topic, but here are some family photos from Ed Lane's birthday back in April.
