ok, sam, so that one didn't work well on mac. try this one. i don't like it as much, but it seems mac ie 5.1 doesn't grok 'overflow:hidden' very well. this is a bit kludgy, but i think the 'float:right' routine works on saturday and sunday, masking the width/overflow differences between ie, moz and opera. watch the css; i have to switch sat and sun out of logical order to make it work. it'll bite you when you're not looking.

working on a userland calendar in css. width and vertical alignment are driving me nuts.
