Welcome to my Radio 8 theme playground. This is where you will find completed themes, works in progress and add-ons as I continue to play with Radio.
You are welcome to try any of these out; just be sure to save your current look as a theme if you've done any custom coding (See 'Creating a Theme' on the Help page). Click the Theme name below to go to my Gems folder; select the appropriate fttb file, and place it in your 'Themes' folder. Return to your Radio interface and look under 'Themes'. It should automatically become an available choice.

Basic Greyscale CSS, Version 0.8 beta. [updated 1/22/02] An all-CSS design, meant to be modified by you. This is still not quite up to snuff yet, but is being used by several testers at the present time. Code is partially commented as of this version. There is also a folder with icons for permalinks, if you are so bold. Not for use with Netscape 4.
Changes to come: Color choices, more creative use of graphics.
Sample: This theme is running at RolandTanglao.com.

Horsefeathers, Version 0.4 beta. [updated 1/26/02] Built with CSS and TABLE tags, this layout uses two columns, fixed width centered on page. You can replace the header images with any 700 pixel-wide photograph or graphic; any height should do. Code is thoroughly commented for your fiddling pleasure. Mozilla header image issue resolved, and the permalink icons got picked up from Three Column Flex, below. I'll leave them for the moment. Not for use with Netscape 4.
Changes to come: Different pictures, colors.

Big Radio, Version 0.4 beta. [updated 1/24/02] This was a blast. Simple. Built with tables, few comments yet. Try it out, let me know what you think. I may have to kill some of those dots; a bit much on an lcd monitor.
Changes to come: Seems solid on Mac; need to test Win.
Sample: Simon Fell's trying this theme out. [thanks for the feedback]

Three Column Flex, Version 0.1 beta. [updated 1/25/02] I figured a three column style needs to be covered, badly. First go-round; colors need adjustment, and some interface things need improvement. Uses the new link-icon spec feature from Userland.
Changes to come: Seems solid on Mac; need to test Win.
Sample: This website uses a significantly altered version of this template.

As with all my designs, I would very much appreciate feedback and suggestions.
I am currently playing with a DHTML script at the Theme Factory. I'm also trying to come up with a decent method for controlling wide PRE formats within predefined width parameters (overflow:auto?). Any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them.
Beta Bootstrapping Testers
Thanks to Sam DeVore, Roland Tanglao, Martin Spernau, Karl Martino and Alwin Hawkins for their help.
