Warchalking on Marketplace
MarketPlace, the daily business news radio show from Public Radio International, featured a story on warchalking today. The story, which starts about 22 minutes into the broadcast, talks about networks left open and the chalk markings people use to identify where a wireless network is publically available.
What I don't get is why business is so worked up about this. If they're concerned about their bandwidth being used by people other than their employees, simply control access through encryption. This isn't rocket science.
