Southern California: FOB Barn/Stack: 9,281 Tons Delivered: 1,775
Compared to last week, Supreme Alfalfa not tested, some current
production starting to show up as Premium Alfalfa. Demand and inquiry
good, supplies limited. Fair and Good Alfalfa steady. Demand light
to moderate, supplies moderate to heavy. Retail and stable hay fully
steady. Demand moderate, supplies light to moderate. Exporters
buying some hay but not very aggressive. Rains moved through area
this week and that added to the slowness of the market on new sales.
1,890 tons of other hay. Fair Alfalfa, light weeds, grass and/or
rain damage 75.00-85.00 delivered. Timothy grass hay, retail 226.00;
racetracks 220.00 delivered. Orchard grass hay, retail 230.00
delivered. Antelope Valley, Mojave Desert: Premium Forage mix hay to
retail accounts 7.00-9.25 per bale FOB. Good to Premium Forage mix
hay, retail accounts 5.00-6.00 per bale FOB. Premium Alfalfa hay to
retail accounts 6.00-7.00 per bale FOB. Good to Premium Alfalfa
hay to retail accounts 5.00-6.00 per bale FOB. Good Alfalfa hay to
