A QA Guy's Radio Weblog
Thoughts from Dave Liebreich

What have I done?

As a QA Manager, I have

Hired a team of 6 testers, and trained them on the product we were to test

Planned the testing schedule, then constantly adapted it to the changing priorities inherent in leading-edge product development

Reported on the state of our testing

Did all the above while working from home all but one day per week.

As an Individual Contributor, I have

Lead testing efforts for complex features, such as call accounting, Voice-Over-IP, and streaming media servers and caches

Planned, built, and maintained large, complex test labs, using all sorts of Unix, windows, and networking systems (including telecom)

Developed automation libraries in Perl, TCL/Expect, SQL, and C

As a Professional, I always

Maintain a "weblog" of useful information related to all aspects of my job, so that I can easily share my knowledge and discoveries with others

Pursue professional development
