Rename 'The Two Towers' to Something Less Offensive Petition. Right. Just like they should go back and take out all the WTC references in every movie or book ever made. I understand the sensitivity of the situation, but "the JRR Tolkien book originally published in 1954, the second book of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The title was thus established some 47 years prior to the attacks on the World Trade Center towers."

Google Searchtool v1.5.4 [1.0M] W9x/2k/XP FREE. In a nutshell, this thing utilizes the Google search engine. So, you can either open up Google's Web site and search from there, or, if you don't want to have a browser open first, you can search with this companion tool. Hey, Google is popular for a reason. I always find what I need right away when I go a-googling. Change its transparency (in Windows 2000 / XP). If you don't understand English, change the resulting language options. And you know how you can search for images on the Web through Google? You can do that through this search tool, too. Same goes for those wonderful Usenet groups. Its handy - and not incredibly garish (like I've found the official Google toolbar to be). Gosh, how did we ever get along without this search engine? Want a whopping 170GB hard drive?. I had to settle for a WD 120. I also got a WD 80 gigger, too. We'll see how well they work. Jeez, I remember when 400 megabytes was a lot.

X-Cube v1.0 [320k] W9x/2k/XP FREE. In all my years on the planet Earth (not counting that summer on Mars), I have yet to encounter anyone who has solved the Rubik's Cube. As frustrating as that little thing was, I couldn't stop twisting and turning it. Now you can experience the joy all over again, thanks to this awesome new computer version. It's not made by the people who brought you the "original," but the concept is still the same. Wanna hear a true story? I was over visiting a friend one day, picked up his Pyraminx, and solved it in a few random moves. He still swears (up and down) that I cheated somehow. Yeah, how?! After reading CamWorld on Tuesday I think I've finally come to the conclusion that webloggers are taking themselves way too seriously.

Am I a journalist? Not here I'm not.

But, I'm getting tired of the "metablogging" that's going on (you know, webloggers talking about weblogging and pointing at other webloggers who are talking about weblogging). It all gets so refererential after a while.

The end of Blender?. Fun with filters.

At Q42 I created a color blindness simulator using the filters of Internet Explorer. There are in total 6 layers of filters and it's horribly slow, but it looks very cool on photographs.
