I'll go back to heaven again.
Hand in hand with the dew
that melts at a touch of the dawning day,

I'll go back to heaven again.
With the dusk, together, just we two,
at a sign from a cloud after playing on the slopes

I'll go back to heaven again.
At the end of my outing to this beautiful world
I'll go back and say: It was beautiful . . .

A picture named aitken1.jpgDoug Aitken's multipaneled video installation, "Interiors," never had anything to do with scarves, but fabric certainly played a big role in its filming and presentation. During his residency at the workshop, he experimented with several different reflective, transparent and opaque materials stretched around complicated architectural forms. At times he filmed through these twisted shapes, producing surreal images that looked as if they had been shot through keyholes or teardrops. Other silk fabric was used as a projection surface in the final presentation of the work.

A picture named ram_tn.jpgTwo original sculptures, a ram and a goat, were created especially for the stamps. The sculptures are carved from coral and tangerine-colour alabaster. Illuminated from behind, the images capture the translucent and delicate nature of the stone. To compliment and contrast the overall image, bright red and golden-orange (colours traditional of the New Year) and textures that emulate silk, are used in the background of both stamps.
