This is a really sad thing to me, as a hockey fan and a Columbus resident. My heart goes out to a family who went out for a fun night on the town and to catch a game and had it turn into such a tragedy. It's also a poignant reminder that when they tell you about watching out for flying pucks, and that you shouldn't be walking around during play, but should wait for a timeout, they aren't kidding!
Yeah ditto, it's pretty much the talk of the week here (about 2 hrs north of Col.) as well. 'Course this on no way make less of any other sport event accidents, just feels a little weird hitting so close to home.

>>>Speaking of poor communication
Well, you all know the problems I had with hosting and how much it peeves me when companies don't communicate, so today what do we have at work? Turns out the company who acts as our ISP switched their ISP without bothering to tell us ahead of time. So while the new name server information for our email domain propagates around the internet, we are not getting any email addressed to it. I've been trying to explain and handle frantic co-workers and outsiders as they try to understand why our email isn't coming in, but we can send it out fine. Have you ever tried to explain the idea of getting updated DNS info around the internet to people who can barely understand what a browser is? It's not fun. I've tried a post office analogy (It's sort of like a forward mail order, except every post office needs to get it to know where to send your mail now, not just the local one.), but I'm not sure that really stuck with anyone. <<<
I been there man. You know it's time to give it up when the face goes blank - kind of like a deer in the headlights of an oncoming car. Ahhh Yes...office politics.
Mike McBride comes face to face with one of the things I hate more than anything. In one of my former (professional) life's I had a manager who had the knack -no make that lust- for office politics. I think he was just plain bored and loved to shake up the office just for fun. Now me...I just watched while he careful orchestrated the most intricate scenerios you can dream of. He always came out smelling like roses and grinning like a Cheshire cat.

Bryce's Radio Experiments: "Now if only UserLand would come up with a better interface for viewing feeds. Subscribing to many feeds, or even just a few that have high-volume, quickly results in Information Overload. Especially for people like me who only look at the aggregator perhaps once or twice per day. The "Magnifying Glass" view doesn't cut it."
I'd suggest using News Is Free since you can now post to any BloggerAPI compliant system, but Radio users will most likely miss the freedom to sign up for just any feed you want. They do have thousands to choose from though and are really good about adding new ones as well.
