| blogattic weblog mostly about security PDF niceties Phil Windley comments on some new stuff from Adobe's pockets. A while ago I had a look at some Adobe's enterprise products and must say that I was surprised (Surprised as in "wow, that was good" rather than "err, let's move on...") . I have found especially interesting two features, that have made it into the new Approval product since: First and perhaps the most useful feature is its offline form filling support. This is big advantage under circumstances where one needs to capture larger amounts of data from the users belonging to the majority that still doesn't have permanent internet connection. Besides that, Acrobat t is the one of few software products that support digital signatures and definitely the first from the big vendor (not counting email here). There are of course all practical disadvantages involved in the use of certificates, but from a security techie's view it is is a nice thing. 12:28:51 AM
