Here's an IPO fueled by irony.

More on the Ballmer Bullshit."Those accustomed to Ballmer's teased-gorilla-on-amphetamines style of delivery will be shocked to see a beaten little bald man with hollow eyes bravely fighting back the tears as he grieves for his beloved Windows."

"Now, if we want to see a nervous Ballmer wincing and twitching as if electrodes were attached to his privy member and activated at random intervals, we may consult the part of the clip which ZDNet is streaming. In this one Ballmer has a memory about as bad as Ronald Reagan's, and a hopeless time figuring out what Windows-CE is and does. "I don't know," "I'm not an expert," "I can't recall," are the phrases of note here.

The lawyer is trying to establish that WINCE is a fine example of an already modular Windows. Ballmer is of course not about to be led down that path, and drags his feet to a comic extent." Why wasn't  he nominated? Best actor in a real-life comedy.

The Register article is a little misleading. The non-responsive responses were mostly about newer products such as Windows XP Embedded and Windows CE.Net. Eventually he got to Windows CE because Ballmer pleaded that he didn't have a roadmap of MS codenames to release names in his head.

I love job ads like this. Primary requirement: "This job will be of interest to individuals who are earning in excess of $100,000 annually." In other words, if you're not part of the (screwing consumers with our big swinging dicks) club, don't bother to apply.

Note that the only bona fide requirement is an MBA (which I have) or a CA.

This piece is a response to this piece of drivel I linked to. Its a little more thoughtful, but its standing up to the right-wing, shallow research, reactionary position, and as such, has no hope of being noticed. The fact that its written by the head of the teacher's union is the only red flag.

Steve Ballmer is a goddamn liar. Call their bluff! There seems to be some good stuff in the depositions, which of course do not reflect well on the Bush administration:

...asked the executive, "What practices do you understand Microsoft was found guilty of?"

After a round of objections from a Microsoft attorney, Allchin said, "I believe that we were found that we tried to maintain a monopoly in the PC operating system space."

Houck responded, "And is it your understanding that Microsoft did that by engaging in certain practices that the courts have held to be unlawful?"

"Yes," Allchin answered.

Statement of Guilt. Can't get more clear than that.

"Apple's policy is not to hire anyone with less than 12 years OSX experience - meaning you must have been a professional NeXTStep developer since 1990."[FoRK]
