a full month of posts
March is the first month in which I managed to post every day. Wow. It could have been February, but I went on vacation and didn't post for a couple of days.

another problem
is that if I open a new window for each new post, then I have to reenter all of the server info. What I need is a window where you can create one or more weblog personae. Then you could mark one as the default and each new window that you open would automatically be filled in with the default weblog persona.

the problem with Radio Poster
is that i can't quite figure out what a window is. Is it one message, or is it a place to post to one weblog. I've been using one window to post over and over again. But it seems weird. I probably should save each post somewhere and then open a new window for a new post. But that's just not the way I'm using it.

not enough control
As usual, Radio doesn't quite give me enough control over the look of my content. If I have a title things look great. I've got a bold title, and then some space, and then the content of my post. But if I don't have a title then there is too much space between items. That's because in my item template I specify two breaks between the title and the rest of the item. If there is an item then that is appropriate. But if there isn't a title then there is just whitespace where the title would be. Of course, I know I can put arbitrary UserTalk in a template, so I could fix this, but I wish the template was a little more flexible. Or perhaps the problem is the %itemTitle% macro.

Maryland Beats Indiana
Maryland: 64
Indiana: 52
Did you know this is the first championship game IU's been in that they have lost. They've been there 5 times before this and won every time. But Maryland was just too good. There was a moment in the second half when IU went ahead for the first and only time in the game. I could see them get so excited that they just lost it. They peaked before my eyes and they just couldn't get back in control.

RFC: MetaWeblog API
This tells you (almost) everything you need to know to write your own Radio Poster :)

Title and Link Test
This is a test of the ability to specify a title and link in Radio Poster. Keep your fingers crossed.

I've never used the title/link thing in Radio, so it turns out I didn't have the itemTitle macro in my item template. I just put it there. Let's see if things improve.

Waterlogged Camera Turns Magic
This is such a cool story. I have always thought that most people's definition of art was too limited. I think art is anything created by humans. So a mass-produced chair is art. Fine. But what's interesting is the extent to which an artist tries to control randomness. If I paint a picture there's parts of the process I control and parts I don't control. I might control the choice of colors but I might not have much control over how think the paint ends up being or exactly how the colors interact at the point where the come into contact with each other. In the case of the magic camera, the photographer has control over composition, but not over the effects the camera produces.

Some buddies and I are thinking of doing some consulting work. Are plan is to do contract REALbasic programming. I don't think we are quite ready to announce yet, but we are getting close. I think I'll probably release Radio Poster under the new company name instead of amianduri, which is what I've released all my other software under. I may also move all of my software to the new company.

This is my first full week with my wife in Japan and I'm not having fun. The kids are on spring break but I was able to sign them up for a day camp and it looks like they will have fun. That let's me work all day while they are gone.
