God of Thunder

I didn't quite know what to expect from the album Kiss Symphony - Alive IV. I feared it was going to be too much like the Symphonic Music of the Rolling Stones, which sucked all the life out of the classics you once loved.

Instead, it's hard-driving and true-to-original Kiss, backed by some amazing vocal layers and orchestrations. But what really surprised me is "God of Thunder" -- clearly the best version of this song yet released. This track alone is worth the price of admission in my book. That, and the booklet's photos of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in classic Kiss make-up. I never should have doubted that Gene and Paul (and Peter, in this case!) wouldn't come thru for me.
