Doubt's log

Today is the Microsoft Research techfest, where the company has a chance to go and see what research has been working on. It's usually chock full of prototypes and neat ideas. While a number of the folks are local to redmond, there are groups coming in from California, Cambridge and Beijing. They work on everything from Databases and Distrubted Systems to HCI, from developer productivity to AI. It's one massive headrush, a broad peek a bit further to the future and one of the main reasons I like to work here.
