I've moved my list of subscribed channels to a different page to speed up rendering and loading. Just click on "Current subscriptions" to get the list.

12:29:24 AM  [ @ 228 ]  Swatch @ Beat Internet Time generator for Radio

After countless hours of coding, recoding, googling, hacking and starting all over again, I've tamed the beast, mastered the code, bent the (ehem, ehem, yeah, whatever... get on with it). Ok, ok, here it is...

Behold, the Swatch @ Beat Internet Time generator for Radio.

Enjoy it, make it better, pass it along!

Theme change...! I'll be messing up with a new theme for a while. Love it? Hate it? Let me know. It's a tune-up of jenett.radio.simplicity.1.2. There's still some work to be done.

3:51:41 PM  [ @ 869 ]  Referer or Referrer?

BTW, this is from Dictionary.com's entry for "referer":

referer

<World-Wide Web> A misspelling of "referrer" which somehow made it into the HTTP standard. A given web page's referer (sic) is the URL of whatever web page contains the link that the user followed to the current page. Most browsers pass this information as part of a request.

3:43:17 PM  [ @ 863 ]  My fifteen minutes of weblog fame

So I look at my referrer log and see hundreds of hits coming in from Dave's website, www.scripting.com. Wow... what's going on? Turns out Dave noticed my little tutorial on OPML lists and mentioned it in his weblog.

It's kind of like my fifteen minutes of weblog fame. I hope some of you stick around.

Welcome!

I'll be away next week, so don't think I've abandoned my weblog. Soon, I'll have a new category dedicated solely to the art of negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution. In addition to my technical stuff, of course.

Enjoy, and let's all push Dave to get moving and wrap up the OPML subscription code.

7:05:17 PM  [ @ 003 ]  Creating an OPML list and putting it on your weblog

I've turned the mini-tutorial into a more permanent story. You may find it at:

Enjoy!

6:04:15 PM  [ @ 961 ]  interestListRenderer

I went in and changed the ideaListRenderer, creating interestListRenderer. It basically changes the indentation to 5px. per level instead of 25px. and uses <strong> instead of <b>. I'm having some trouble getting to print in a small font though... maybe now.

If you want a copy of the renderer, leave a comment.

Well, I seem to have my outliner stuff working (look at those links below the calendar), thanks to the renderDesktopFile macro (read all about it).

However, this macro works fine with local files but what I really want to do is grab an outline from the web and include it in my website.

Stay tuned.

testing outliner stuff...

Please disregard the error to the right, below the calendar. There seems to be an error with either the drawLeftLinks macro or my OPML files.

1:44:04 AM  [ @ 280 ]  Rendering OPML code in the browser

I found some interesting OPML rendering code on this website, but I'm still trying to figure out how it works. I had to change opml.xslt to ompl.xml (and the pertinent link in my opml file) to get the file to upload correctly from my gems folder (otherwise I would get an "illegal file type" error in my Events log).

Anyway, you can see the results here. Thoughts welcome.
