Wherein we learn of Howard's mind The source generated by the WYSIWYG editor is REALLY ugly.
I want to put an image on the page, rather like I'm used to doing in Manila. Wait, there's no pictures menu. I've decided to have an open mind about this product. Take a deep breath. Look at the menus. It's not in news. Not in stories. Under folder, I do see an images folder. I suppose I put it in there. Fine. Now how do I put it on my page? Another deep breath. Other people do it, though seemingly less frequently than they do with Manila. Help? Help! I'll look in the help. Many topics, nothing specific. Maybe I missed it. Search for "image" on the page. Not there. How about "picture"? Nope. ((posted this message)) OK, I've copied the image into the images folder. Looking at the Folders tab and clicking on images. It's there. It's got a world icon next to it. The url is for my RU site. I click it. The image appears. Cool. When I posted, it upstreamed the new image. All right. I'll make a wild-ass guess. Let me enter the name of the image in quotes: "drew_there-is-so-much.gif" ((posted this message)) Or not. OK, I know I can make it work by switching to Source view and sticking an image tag in. Finally. I have the serial number. No thanks to anyone at Userland, which is disappointing. No, this time I noticed in the fine print at the bottom of the enter serial number page a link mentioned finding a lost serial number. I did have to find my credit card to enter the last 5 digits, but once that was done, the system showed my order, copied the number, pasted it in. Now I'm legal again. I think I'll write this down in my work journal so I can find it. After all this, I'm intrigued, but not all that interested. Too bad.
