The Forgotten TenOn the 14th October 2001, ten IRA volunteers executed by the British Government in 1921 were given state funerals in Dublin. The occasion was under the management of the Fianna Fail Government. The ten men, Kevin Barry, Thomas Whelan, Patrick Moran, Patrick Doyle, Bernard Ryan, Frank Flood, Thomas Bryan, Thomas Traynor, Edmond Foley and Patrick Maher. They all had been hanged and then buried in the grounds of Mountjoy prison 80 years ago. They had been tried and sentenced to death during the Black and Tan war by a British military court martial.

Restorative Justice And Community Democracy Anthony McIntyre 29/03/2002Jim Auld of Community Restorative Justice in a letter to the Irish News (25th March) attempted to refute some of the allegations levelled at his organisation by an anonymous letter writer. While it is a contradiction in terms to pursue an open debate with anonymity, Auld nevertheless felt sufficiently stung by the allegations to make a one-off response.
