I would dearly love to include some news feeds from scripting news today, but unfortunately my news feed is over a week old now. I posted on the radio discussion list to see if anyone could guide me in what fixing this problem.

Hot dog...it worked! Check out http://radio.weblogs.com/0100823/categories/cd622Spring2002/. Looks like a whole new blog, all done from the convenience of this one...beginning to see possibilities!

I'm now trying different categories...according to my read, it seems like different categories can appear to be separate blogs..so I made one for one of my classes...and this posting is going in it.

There's a small problem with my newsfeeds...everything was updated on January 13th...A WEEK AGO! That's not cool.

I'm working through the help files and found out I can be subscribed to different "channels" (that is, other radio weblogs) and can, by clicking on a single button, get segments of those logs inserted into my own weblog here...cool, eh?

Just tried to add Pat and Albert as news feeds and got some weird error message about an unexpected missing tag at character #845. The instructions say I can add them if they have the "xml" button on their pages (and they do).

A little slow getting connected this afternoon...but it appears that I've successfully updated my radio.root (25 new items it said). Pat asks some good questions in his radiolog...and I think for several of us to converse we will really need a weblog with joint editing managers.

How very interesting this is...once I changed the theme, the navigator links I added appeared...hmmmm? Well, at least I know I did that part correctly...must be a theme driven option?

My, my, my....it's a whole different experience when using IE instead of Netscape...there's this whole section on the right that talks about clouds and referers and rankings...perhaps this is why I've been in the dark (or in the clouds, as the case may be).

Pat writes this evening that he's now got a radio blog and he wants the three of us (Albert, Pat, and Karen) to link to each others except this radio blogger doesn't know what she's doing and can't quite figure out exactly what's going on. For example, this is going to get posted, I'm fairly certain, except what you can't see is that it took me about 2,039 clicks to get this to happen and I don't think that is the most expedient way to use radio...now I could be wrong, and I'm sure Pat or Albert will let me know if I am, but my goal is to get a posting with <2,000 clicks :) Aim high...or in this case, low.

Now I'm going to try to paste in something I created in Netscape Composer...want to see about fonts, styles, colors, etc.

Boy, I can tell there is loads of potential here and no promise from the user. Think I'll beg Albert to do a tutorial with me...once he learns something he can push me through the same thing :) Maybe we should start a new thread on the tech liaison forum just for this so we don't overwhelm others with our "need to know."
