Rearchitecting the way I manage stories will not happen until tomorrow. Too much other stuff to focus on today. I want to do this carefully to be sure that stories meant for internal use only do not accidentally end up on my public weblog. I am adding comments however, since that took all of 30 seconds to do. 4:51:35 PM [Macro error: The file "D:\Program Files\Radio UserLand\www\#prefs.txt" wasn't found.] |

Managing Category-Specific Stories: Yesterday I was wondering how to manage category-specific stories. On the way home last night I realized that Radio does provide everything I really need for category-specific stories. By creating a stories sub-folder in the category directory, I can ensure that Radio will upstream the sub-folder to a category site. To get a category-specific stories index, I just need to create the appropriate index document and add a simple callback in user.radio.callbacks.upstream. It is the same technique that Radio itself uses to update the main stories index (see radio.upstream.callbacks.upstream.updateStoriesList for details). I plan to do this later - sometime after I get done with all of today's meetings. I will post my results. 2:31:29 PM [Macro error: The file "" wasn't found.] |

ARS Technica has posted a well done overview of .NET. It will take less than an hour to read. I recommend reading it if you are interested in what .NET is, what it is not, and what it includes. 10:54:22 AM [Macro error: The file "" wasn't found.] |

After leaving Radio running all night, when I came in this morning it was consuming more than 65M. It did shut down nicely this morning, however. ![]() 10:52:12 AM [Macro error: The file "" wasn't found.] |
