After reading Dave's blurb about Google rankings, I decided to check out where Robert K. Brown ranks. Yeah, baby! Finally moved past our friend from Soldier of Fortune. Next on the agenda: actually appearing somewhere within the first few thousand or so results for the more generic Robert Brown. Or, even more challenging: Robert. I guess that kind of first name recognition takes quite some time to develop.

This August, the PGA Championship will be held just outside of Minneapolis. Depending on what happens in July, Tiger might be coming to Hazeltine with a chance to make golf history. Tickets are way sold out (and even if they weren't, they're probably unbelievably expensive).

But volunteer opportunities? As of today, plenty of spots are available to work concession stands, even on Saturday and Sunday. Help raise some money for Children's Hospital, and maybe get a chance to say you were at Hazeltine when Tiger won the Grand Slam.

Got an e-mail from my uncle describing an article in the Oregonian (surprisingly bad web site, for a major metropolitan newspaper) "which discusses internet credit card fraud and supplies a site where you can see if one of your credit cards has turned up on a list of illegally obtained cards." Couldn't find the article on the difficult-to-search Oregonian, but I did find it through The Associated Press. You enter your credit card into their secure server (but not the expiration date), and you'll discover whether or not your card has been potentially compromised.

Looks like a great service. As for me, I'll stick with checking my statements online periodically instead of checking with CardCops every so often. That's the trick, isn't it? Vigilance.
