The Object
When you look at a map, the territory lies before you. Yet you have no experience of what it's like to be there. It is the difference between belief and knowlege.
Gros Morne seemed to be as good a destination as any. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, a Canadian National Park. A short run up the west coast of the island.
Close enough to turn back if we discovered the land to be truly empty. Otherwise, a place to sleep.
