Ego Trip

Since there is nothing better to do I might as well present myself. My name is Lida Liberopoulou and I live in Greece. I was born May the 6th, 1974 in Athens. I always loved museums and the artifacts they exhibited so eventually chose to work towards the improvement of the ways these artifacts are preserved. I did 3 years vocational training in Archeological Conservation in Athens and after finishing the Conservator BA course at Camberwell College, London I decided to do some research in my field. Since I always loved computers so the thought of combining the two would be the ideal way of solving some of the problems facing conservators. I took the Birkbeck College MSc Computing Science which could help me tackle every problem that might arise. The MSc course was not for the faint hearted so after finishing with my studies I finally decided I had enough of England, London and being a student. I returned to Greece to work as a conservation researcher. Unfortunately researchers can't find work in Greece, so I took my chances on becoming a Java Programmer. My choice paid off more or less. Now I work as developer of J2EE stuff for various Greek companies. Who knows, maybe one day I might work as a conservator.
