The latest kitty available for adoption here in Foster Paradise is Heidi Sue. She is getting a heart ultrasound next week to determine the source of her heart murmur.

Pennyelope departed Foster Paradise as she was adopted yesterday. She was only here a short time but made quite an iumpact. This four month old kitten was lucky to be alive and had every reason to be down on her luck. Instead, we met a 4 month old kitten who seemed completely oblivious to the loss of one of her front paws. She charged around as fast as any kitten I've ever seen and other than tripping up occasionally was perfectly normal. When she did trip up, she'd hop back up, glance over her shoulder to see what tripped her, see nother and then be on her way. I think we could all learn a lesson here.
Her new mom is just fantastic. She was a wonderful person to meet, brought pics of her current cats and sold us on herself from the beginning of her first call. Pennyelope is a very lucky kat =^..^=

Many long months after we departed the last organization. Foster Paradise is back and is a foster home for H.E.L.P.
We now have three little black kittens who can be found here. Being a foster home is a wonderful thing and it was amazing how much we missed it. We'll see if I can't get this portion of the blog rolling along as the fosters move in and out.

Ferrets ? I have been learning about ferrets lately as we recently adopted two of our fosters to a wonderful young couple who have 4 ferrets. At first, I never dreamed Petey and Maddie would play with ferrets. Boy was I wrong and I will have pictures to prove it sometime soon.
In the mean time, Sheri happened upon a wonderful ferret site where we learned a lot before meeting these wonderful little creatures. Be sure to glance at the survey and much more importantly read the survey answers section on "What is the most embarrassing thing your ferret has over stolen?" They appear to have an affinity for at least one item in particular.

For those of you who want to know why you should not buy and animal from a pet store, read this little article from petbusiness.com (a pet store industry rag). As soon as the profits start to erode they cut the costs layed out in this article. This leads to poor care and unhealthy animals. Some are lucky and survive, many more end up with Parvo and die a very difficult death.
There are millions of animals being euthed in this world each and every day. Please adopt an animal from a humane society or shelter or else you are contributing to this problem.

Now we will try to make the Radio categories work so that we can keep the SIN (guitar) stuff together and maybe the fostering stuff too. This is supposed to work but I have seen a fair amount of posts to the Userland folks about difficulties making it work. So here we go.....this is going to get posted to atleast 3 different blogs, or so we hope.
