Wi-fi will be a big deal sooner than later. My Apple Airport serves three
computers (a mac and 2 pc's) in my house. I certainly would love the ability
to hook more devices to my wireless network. For starters, my Xbox. Microsoft
is now pushing their own branded
technology, and Intel is investing
in it. A few years down the road this technology will explode.

Well, I'm off and running with the new weblog. I was trying to scout a new look and feel for the site, but none has really caught my eye. I hated the last one. That ugly blue thing really sucked. I think I'll stick with the default theme for awhile. Maybe I can get some of my designer buddies to pitch in and help.

- PDA for
Blind: Cost Out of Sight?. Freedom Scientific, a company best known for
software that reads content off computer screens, is introducing the first
Pocket PC for blind people. But some say the handheld's price is too steep.
I agree...$2,595 is rip off.
- Palm Inc. will
launch a line of always-on wireless handheld devices and supporting software
Monday to compete head-to-head in the enterprise market with BlackBerry, the
popular e-mail gadget from Research In Motion Ltd.
- Palm's
Helping Hand in China: It's very interesting to see China doing more tech
buisness with US interests.

ITV Stuff
- Looks like Liberate has changed ticker symbol (LBRTE).
This is obviously on the heels of their delisting
notice from Nasdaq. I own about 100 shares of Liberate, which have lost
more than half of their value.
- OpenTV has decided to rely heavily on services
for a business plan. It will be interesting to see how then promote Wink in
North America.
- Here's an interesting read about synergy
issues at AOL. Apparently, it caused big problems for AOLTV.
- We don't
need no stinking set-top boxes.
