First steps on the RV trail This is a test of my ability to setup a "story" web page in Radio. This story is about one guy's dream to have an airplane and fly. First some pictures.
This was my first sight of an RV9a at an EAA chapter meeting in San Jose. |
The main feature of the evening was a talk about the new prepunch kits. I got to be part of the demonstration. This was my first exposure to real live clecos. |
That weekend, we got to see the airplane again at the EAA fly-in held in Sacramento that year. | It took much too long, but I finally ordered the preview plans in April of 2002. In September we attended the RV Assembly Workshop in Corona. A great confidence builder and a chance to meet people with a full range of flying and building experiences. | Here is CJ getting into deburring. | In November, we got to the factory in Oregon for a test flight. The airplane is very impressive and fun to fly. | Another RV grin.
