A Fairly Unbalanced Account of my homebuilt airplane ... the RV9a from Van's Aircraft.

February 2003

Finally making some real progress .. but first ..

..  we needed to divert some cash flow into the house. This is our brand new heater. Really should not complain since the old one was installed when this house was new in 1958.

This is more real. After looking at the bench top tools some others are using, I decided to try something that I hope will be more fun to use. Tried to buy drill press, band saw, and tool chest from Sears. None were in stock .. promised for Tuesday next week. I found the air compressor at Home Depot. On the floor is an inexpensive miter saw. It made short work of cutting parts for the worktables.

Here is the first worktable going together. I sure envy those with barren walls and clean floors in the background.

Here the worktables are together with empennage kit ready to be inventoried.

And there are the power tools along the side of the garage.
