Well, the Peppermill restaurant in Cupertino is finally being demolished today. Not that I'll really miss the place, but it did have a certain quality that reminded me of the seedier casinos in Nevada. America is the land of shlock, but if you wait long enough every shlocky building will be knocked down and replaced by something equally shlocky soon enough. I remember the Peppermill as the place that Apple employees had to go so they could smoke, since it was evidently banned on campus. Where will they go now? Looks like the Peppermill will be replaced by a Chicago Pizza & Brewery according to the Cupertino City Council minutes. 3:24:12 PM    comment []
