The ActiveState Perl install (using a .mci) automatically installed to drive F. What? Why doesn't it ask you where you want to put Perl? It's too smart to ask? Why drive F? Because it's there! We turned off the external drive F, and ActiveState installed to drive C without asking. Imagine our relief!
