AYE Day 3 - Reflection Leading to Action
My last AYE session was Esther Derby's Reflection Leading to Action. I wanted to take this session because I thought that it would give me a good start in applying what I learned at the conference when I get back to normal life. I came up with three: one related to how we approach quality in the developer division, one related to understanding myself at a deeper level and applying that learning to be more effective, and one related to staying more aware of what's going on in emotional or confusing situations. So, for me this was a helpful session. I did notice a general low level of energy in the group at the session which Esther also commented on when we talked later.
AYE Day 4 - Shape Day
My favorite part of the AYE conference is Shape Day. Shape is an online forum for members of the Weinberg community. Shape Day is a day set aside for the members of that community that attend AYE to get together and interact live and in-person. Nothing is planned. In the two years that I've attended AYE (including this one), the day consisted of unplanned discussion that is always entertaining and enlightening.
After Shape Day ended, the conference concluded for me with dinner with Esther, Johanna, and Dave Liebreich. A nice dinner at the end of a great conference.
