Me, earlier today: "There should really be a <%longMerkanDate%> macro or something. I mean, come on..."
And now there is.
I added this to a new file called longMerkanDate.txt, which I stuffed into the Macros folder:
on longMerkanDate (d=clock.now()) { return (date.dayOfWeekToString(date.dayOfWeek(d)) + ", " + date.monthToString(date.month(d)) + " " + date.day(d) + ", " + date.year(d))}
Then I changed the <%longDate%> in the Day Template to <%longMerkanDate ("<%longDate%>")%>. Et voila! 'Merkan ("American", if you didn't get that) dates. Sweetness!
And the best part: Figuring out how to write the macro was about as easy as tying my shoes. After a few tries, I had a knot. It wasn't the prettiest of knots, but it kept the shoe from flying off. After a moment or two of silent contemplation followed by another try, the knot got prettier. Hail Radio! Ultra-sweetness.

Another weirdity (nice word): When I'm accessing my Desktop Website over the Internet, using my computer's domain name, any attempt to post a form yields a 500 Server Error (Access denied), even though I checked the appropriate box in my preferences. If, instead, I use my computer's IP address, things are all fine and dandy.
Also, it seems odd that the images that are part of the GUI reside in the system area, making them unreachable if I choose not to allow access to my system pages over the Internet.
And what does "Last Signoff: 1904-01-01; 00:00:00" in the "Weather report" mean? That I've never signed off so far, or that I've been a Radio user for a veeery long time?

Dave Winer: "Good morning y'all. It's a brand new day. Let's have fun!!"
That sounds reasonable. I'm game.

I wonder why the archive isn't updated every time this page is. Weird.

Wired: "Even if British Telecom proves its 1989 patent for linking on the Web is legit, critics say it's too late, and that programmers would just use another technique."

Okay, I've gone through all the prefs, but I cant find a way to fix this. And no, I'm not changing my computer's locale settings.
There should really be a <%longMerkanDate%> macro or something. I mean, come on...

Oh, hey. What the heck is this? I do not want the dates in swedish long format. Now, if only I can find a way...
