I'm on the road at the moment, so I'll be an inconstant correspondent over the next few days.
The Cult of the Dead Cow, a hacker group that's becoming interested in human rights, published a transcript of their panel at the DefCom conference in Las Vegas a short while ago. The Cult's hactivism group, which calls themselves Hackvismo, seems primarily interested in preserving human rights through information freedom: that sets them apart from other hactivists who try to use IT to effect change in the offline world.
