What a visual Socnet Explorer might be made of

I've written a python script that takes social explorer data and produces graphviz output. 
The attached graphic is (kind of) what you get....
I think the "biomorphic" shape is actually sort of evocative. 
Kottke is topheavy (lots of inlinks); Other shapes would be similarly diagnostic.
In principle you can imagine these things nested within each other, so that when
you zoomed in, the nodes weren't oval (as here), but were more of these biomorphs....
For less popular blogs, something like the above would be practicable. 
We could set up a webdot server and generate these on the fly
