ROB WHO ?
    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::

So who is Rob anyway?

Well, I am a 33 year old web developer from the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
My interests range from the technical side of PC's, Space, Electronica / Dance / Hardcore Techno music, PC gaming, reading Cyberpunk novels to theoretical physics.

Why am I blogging? To be honest, when I first heard of weblogs, I thought why on Earth would anyone want to blog? Who has the time, not to mention who would be interested in what I have to say?
I gave it no further thought, then about two months ago, I read an article about blogs and noticed that indeed there was not only an interested audience but also the fact that blogs were becoming quite popular. Still, I had no further thoughts on blogs and immediately forgot the article.
Then one Thursday in February in 2002 I attended a UltraDev web development course in Sydney and our instructor Jonathon Delacour had used his blog as an example when viewing some code as part of our lesson. Later on that night I returned home and jumped on the Net to have another look at the code of Jonathon's blog when one of his entries caught my eye. I read further and found that I was interested in what he had to say. Hmmm, maybe there is more to this blogging thing than meets the eye.
I investigated some more by looking at a few other blogs. Then it hit me, not only did blogs contain hints, tips, news and personal incites, I realised it was a way that you could socialise and communicate as well as reflect on your own thoughts and experiences. This is something that I rarely made time for and thought that it could be good to try.

So here I am like it or lump it, good or bad.

Cheers
Rob.
