Another couple thoughts on the editorial letter.  If this woman decries the public school system for failing to take over her responsibility of teaching her child morals, and indeed any kind of coherent philosophy at all, who then does she think will run the boot-camp?  Passing the responsibility off to another state institution is not the answer.  When deciding to have a child the first question one should ask is, Am I ready to dedicate my life to the raising of this new consciouness to the best of my ability?  A child is a very serious choice much like a career, in fact maybe more important because it not only becomes your source of productivity but gives you control, at least until the child is ready to take it for themself, of another human.  Parents now view their children as the state does, another mouth to feed and mind to be conditioned to serve.  I quote, "I feel as though I speak for some parents, not all, but we are tired of these kids."  What possible moral attitude do you expect children to learn in a house where things like this are uttered about them?  If you had started their life off rationaly and showed them that the only way to live on this earth is as a man then you children would be the source of joy they can be.  Instead you pawned them off whole-sale to the state to "educate" and I use that term losely when describing the mind destruction the state educational department specializes in.  If you, who are their parents are not willing to take responsibility for the choices you've made in your life like having kids, why then do you expect them to take any responsibility for their lives, especially when they are still learning the nature of the world you knew when you brought them to life?  All bootcamp will do is teach them the docility to serve you and the state without question, destroying the last remnants of their individuality.  But then again you've been working towards that all along haven't you? comment [] 7:43:22 PM

This is from my local paper.  Please scroll down to the story entitled City Needs Bootcamp.  Now is it just me or does this woman proffess her own inablity to effectlively teach her child and then demand more control over the child?  When did it become customary to pawn this off on the city? comment [] 6:19:41 PM
