Both Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Most researchers now think that Fibro and CFS are different manifestations of the same disorder - they fall at different points along same spectrum. And, as it turns out, I fit the diagnostic criteria for both Fibro and CFS - my symptom set ranges across a wide swatch of the spectrum. I usually identify myself as having CFS rather than launching into the ridiculous description of what's really going on - it's just simpler that way. The symptoms that effect me the most seem to be of the CFS variety. Also, people have heard of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - they have a rudimentary understanding of it. What's this site all about? Why do I want to blog about CFS and FMS? Well, I wrestle with these syndromes every day - and not just physically. I am constantly trying to figure out what's going on - what causes what? It strikes me that working through those questions on a blog might be an interesting experience.
