Saturday @ Dupont Circle

The brief posts below were transmitted via cell phone during my trip to DC today. It's neat to be able to post to the weblog via cell phone, although it will be even better someday when I get a cool camera phone and can upload pictures too, meanwhile just text for now. (In the not too distant future, look for some 'audio blog' entries you may listen to.)

I went to the city to see The Safety of Objects and to visit the Church Ruins Park cache. I enjoyed the movie, though it was hardly a light romp. The cache was a very small container, well hid. Enjoy some pictures.

Found the cache after decoding the clue; very small as befits the location. The movie was good, though a little depressing.

I found the place where the Church Ruins Cache is located but didn't have time to decode the clue -- will return after flick.

Made it to DC, Dupont Circle. Going to see "The Safety of Objects" in half an hour.

Ok, beginning my moblog journey at the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro station. (Sending messages from my phone.)

Our friend the StylinBug is now hanging in Stuttgart, Germany thanks to Landmaus. Wish I'd gotten into that little box!

Going Postal

Due to an errant snowplow, the mailbox you see here became a casualty. Off to the Home Depot for a new mailbox which was easily installed. Feel free to take a gander at the newly installed replacement. By the way, the post below this about fish'n'chips at the new Irish pub was sent from my trusty Nokia phone...ain't technology grand!

Bound for Beaverdam

I decided to take a trek to The Ghost Train Depot virtual cache in Beaverdam, Virginia. The Motorvation Cam had its first outing for 2003 and of course there are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Additionally, got word today that our friend The Stylin' Bug is still on the move in Germany. Make sure to check out the royal treatment given by landmaus.

Geocaching in Golden

It's been a while but finally got back into the geocaching mode. As I'm visiting family and friends in Golden, Colorado we found a site nearby. Kelsey's BeaverBrook Cache was our destination and Chaz, Dave, Deonne, Luke and Leia all came along. Feel free to take a gander at some pictures.
