Jean-Pierre Jeunet apparently storyboarded Amélie completely. The drawings are wonderful, very much in the style of Moebius (Jean Giraud?). Unfortunately, we only get a glimpse of a few isolated panels and one sequence through the haunted carnival ride. I would love to get my hands on a copy of this.

Scott Kelby in his latest Mac Design In the Mac Lane column poses a one-question quiz on whether you ought to be a PC or a Mac user.

When you want a donut, you go to:
  1. Dunkin’ Donuts®
  2. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts®
  3. Whichever is closer

Is a donut just a donut to you? If you have never inhaled the divine effluence that is a Krispy Kreme® donut, then you may answer “1” or “3” immediately. If you have, then, even if you did select “3,” the question gave you pause, did it not?

For those into the quantitative argument (i.e., MHz matter), good as Dunkin’ Donuts® donuts are, being able to eat forty, even fifty of them will never match the experience of the single first bite into a Krispy Kreme® donut.

Macintosh users understand in a visceral way that computing can be an exquisite experience. IBM and clone users may pay lip service to the aesthetic experience of computing, but until they use a Macintosh, they can never feel it in their gut.
