merry christmas everyone!! did ya all get good presents? i got some pretty good ones. i ate lots of bad food too thanks to my dad. he made this 50 lb. lasagna or so, glenda literally couldn't lift it; i took pictures so i'll post them at some point. it was ridiculous but tasted good. he made his famous cake too and that was good enough for me to eat 2 pieces.
my mom will wake me tomorrow morning to go running w/ the gang so i'll get back on track and hopefully back to marathon training.
my flight here went okay. i wasn't even that scared. it just sucked that i didn't sleep the night before cause i had to get up at 3a. my flight wasn't until 9:15a but it left from kansas city so i had to take a shuttle there which left at 4:30a. anyway i got to syracuse fine and oddly enough my dad wasn't there cause he lost track of time making lasagna or something so i had to wait for him. usually he's at least 30 min. early for everything.
we got lots of snow today; maybe a foot or so. i didn't drive at all but everyone's saying driving is real bad and really my mom doesn't know if we'll meet the gang to run cause we might not be able to get out of the driveway if we get ploughed in. so we'll see.
i went to aunt winnie's last night for xmas eve and saw all my mom's family. i got to see the triplets and they're getting real big. they can walk now. nathan's still my favorite. my cousin colin is getting freakier every year. he has a lip ring in the bottom lip dead center and so does his girlfriend. my dad wonders what happens when they kiss. he has a few tattoos, 2 are star wars and one says 'built to grind' on top of a bloody saw blade. he said his friends all got that one cause his friend has brain cancer. my cousin colin is 18 or 19 now i think. i know he's out of high school. he's in a band too and they were on tour recently and he went to boston. they played at the choppin' block and a place on lansdowne st. that's so neat cause the choppin' block is right near my lab and people go there sometimes to drink. i actually didn't know they had entertainment. and of course i've been on lansdowne st. so many times. i'm assuming he played at karma but i'm not sure. he said it was right next to jillian's but i can't remember the club order of the street. i just can't wait to go there in the next couple of weeks and check out axis. gotta get my groove back on.
so i'm pretty sure we're leaving boston for disney on january 1st. we have hotel reservations for the 2nd through the 6th and i should be back on the 7th or so. i told them i had to be back for aaron's show on the 9th. not much else going on here right now. i'll try and keep you all updated as i know i have some loyal fans.
goodnight everybody. sleep well unlike me last night. i was reminded at dinner that i had a horrible nightmare where i saw a couple friends from high school kill someone and then they saw that i saw and tried to kill me by injecting me w/ the pink stuff (fatal plus). but as always i made it out of the dream w/out dying.

I love giraffes! I wish I had a pet giraffe and I would name it Mr. Giraffe. One time I had a pet elephant and his name was Loyal. I sent him a letter in The Jungle when I was in undergrad but I don't think it made it there. Loyal was cool! There's nothing better than playing with doggie and kittie poop in Parasitology, except maybe looking at all the dead stuff in necropsy. |
