so i'm getting in trouble again for not writing. i have lots of catching up to do. i've been having some trouble swallowing the fact that i'm back in this little town in kansas in a house w/ 4 dogs and just trying not to go nuts. so back to my synopsis of vacation.

still driving...around 3a i had to kick jenn out of the driver's seat cause she almost ran off the road when passing a large truck cause she was sleeping. bad news! then i start driving even though i shouldn't because jenn is now the passenger but she still can't stay awake. i'm supposed to pull over and let people sleep until 2 people can be awake but i'm in a hurry to get there so i push on. rob reed is in the driver's seat when we arrive at our disney hotel, port orleans: the french quarter. we'll be there for 5 days but only got a park pass for 4 so we just hang out the first day. we shower up and go eat lunch at old key west resort. back at our hotel i go for a run around the property, there's about a 2 mile loop that i can repeat, and rob and jenn walk around taking pictures. after, i shower up again and we get ready for cirque du soleil. before that we go to eat at bongo's cuban cafe, owned by gloria estefan. it was a very good meal. i had mahi mahi and plantains and other veggies. next, cirque du soleil. it's our favorite show, la nouba, we've seen it a few times and this time our seats are second row. it's supposed to be a worse view cause everything is happening right over you but we've never been so close and this time we got to see actually faces of these strange performers. it's neat too cause i have a couple favorites and they're there year after year so i got to see what they really look like. not at all disappointing. then back to the hotel for tv and bed.

QUOTES

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.

Grandpa Martin, RIP

Keep your wits about you.

Dr. Wally Cash, DVM

If the present sucks, then look to the future.

RobReed, BadBoy

Well, I want to try everything in life.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

Ice Cube, HipHopper

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Going to Kansas for Vet School is like going to the Special Olympics to play chess.

RobReed, BoyGenius

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!

Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!

Tip:

If you're buying me a present and you don't know what to get me, check my Amazon.com Wish List. Thanks, I'm sure I'll love it (...no really, I picked it, I'm sure :O).

Any of you fans out there feel free to buy me something to say thanks for all of the joy that you get from reading my weblog.

This isn't an ad. Amazon.com has a lot of stuff and if you're buying retail chances are they have what you're looking for at a price comparable to or lower than what you'll pay somewhere else. I'll use this space to link to products at Amazon.com that I talk about in my posts or things that are significant to me for some reason. I hope you find all of this useful. By the way, if you purchase through my site I get a little kick back. Thanks!
