i miss howard once in a blue moon. actually much less than i thought i would seeing i used to listen every morning and watch the e! show every night. this post brings back good memories before he started eating at nobu and dating beth o.

howard's bad hair day. Howard Stern: "Let the FCC take me off the air, I don't care."

i forgot to mention tomorrow is the boston marathon, the awesomest marathon out there. a bunch of my teammates are running it and i'm going to miss it. it's patriot's day in boston and most people get the day off, it's a big holiday. then everyone goes and cheers on the runners, well most people. i'll have to follow it online.

i took cleo on her first run tonite. i went out and did one loop which is about 2.25 miles i've approximated and then i came home and got her and took her on a loop. she did pretty good for the first time. i tried taking billy, my dalmatian in boston, when i used to live w/ him and rob, but he'd always stop to poop at least 5 times or something incredible on just one run. cleo did stop to poop but only once and she was quick about it. haha! the dog n' jog is this saturday. it's put on by the junior class at the vet school so it will be cleo's first race. we're doing the 5K. there's also a 10K and 1.5 mile but since i'm just off the marathon and cleo's a new runner i thought the 5K would be best. did i tell you i got a silver medal in the mail from the eisenhower marathon? i ended up taking 2nd in my age group (and even 10th female overall). it's a nice confidence booster to run in those small marathons.

my mom's training is going really well for the 1/2 ironman she will do in september with her friend dedra at duke university. i want to do it too but we'll see. school will have started and who knows how that'll work out. next semester should be my toughest. i will train and see how it goes. i have to start swimming and biking. the weather is fine for biking, i just have to get over my fear of falling over at a stop when i clip one foot out and lose balance. i've done it a couple times before and got so good at it that i was quick enough on a couple occasions to get my other foot out too and not fall over. i might try different pedals. i have look but i might switch to speedplay. any suggestions?

well it's almost 12:30a so i should finish up, shower and go to bed. problem is on sunday nights i'm not tired cause i sleep in pretty late catching up on my sleep and then can't fall asleep sunday nights and then start my week out tired instead of refreshed. if i'm good i'll get up early in the morning and go riding or swimming before class. the dogs usually wake me up by 6a but i just go back to sleep. i should just get up and then at night i'll naturally be tired and fall asleep easily. good night.

hi billy, i love you!

QUOTES

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.

Grandpa Martin, RIP

Keep your wits about you.

Dr. Wally Cash, DVM

If the present sucks, then look to the future.

RobReed, BadBoy

Well, I want to try everything in life.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

Ice Cube, HipHopper

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Going to Kansas for Vet School is like going to the Special Olympics to play chess.

RobReed, BoyGenius

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!

Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!

This isn't an ad. Amazon.com has a lot of stuff and if you're buying retail chances are they have what you're looking for at a price comparable to or lower than what you'll pay somewhere else. I'll use this space to link to products at Amazon.com that I talk about in my posts or things that are significant to me for some reason. I hope you find all of this useful. By the way, if you purchase through my site I get a little kick back. Thanks!
