i gotta catch you all up.
about that systemic path precourse quiz; i got 16/50 right and i needed 15 right to get the full 10 points so i just made it. 16 was a common score i saw.
on wednesday i had a followup appt. w/ dr. smith to see what i could do to help assure my neck wouldn't get any worse. it still isn't 'normal.' it's uncomfortable all the time but bearable. he said i wouldn't/shouldn't do any strenous exercise and that's basically a lifestyle thing. he said i could do some light jogging, biking but in an upright position (not on a racing bike) and swimming but w/ a kickboard or backstroke type stuff so i'm in a straight alignment opposed to the front crawl where i'm constantly twisting my neck. that just really sucks since when i graduated i was going to spend most of my free time training for triathlons: particularly working up to the ironman. also jen's husband james has been bitten by the triathlon bug and he's preparing for his first one this coming season. now i want to train with him. i've been going to the rec everyday doing some running but only a couple miles or so and i've tried pilates twice now but i don't think that's the best for my neck. also dr. smith mentioned doing traction and there's at-home machines you can buy but they're close to $1000. i already have had to pay over $1000 for my xrays, mri and other costs because of my neck since my insurance sucks. i'm quickly running out of money and i still owe $2000 for afrivet tuition and another $2000 or so for flight there and any extra travel we do. i think i'm screwed. i'm also running out of credit to charge things.
last night a bunch of us (nina, jen, james, rebecca, dan, krista, maria and i) went to see lost in translation at the student union in forum hall for $2. after that i went w/ nina, rebecca and dan out to eat some breakfast. it was a fun time.
this morning i got up to feed the dogs and then to the post office to mail something i sold on ebay and then to the grocery for superbowl stuff for tomorrow, we're going to rebecca and dan's for that and now i'm at java studying.
every time it seems i go to java i run into a professor. this time it was dr. ross from physiology last year but i didn't say anything to him. he was with his son and others discussing their sailing club or something. he's a big sailing guy i know because he would mention it a lot when he taught.
