i'm still at the coffeeshop and they were just playing The Smiths 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before.' I started listening to The Smiths in 10th grade because of Teri Asanoma. She was my best friend and her boyfriend's name was Rob and he skated and my friend/short-lived boyfriend in high school/long-lived boyfriend in college/now best friend was also named Rob (a.k.a. RobReed) and he skated too. Teri and I hung out all the time. We'd go to Wegman's (the grocery) and skate behind it, we'd do stupid things like carve 'Rob' in our chests, and lots of time just bother RobReed, listen to music, watch movies with Teri's boyfriend Rob while he sat behind her and had his hands up her shirt the whole time, they weren't trying to hide it. Good times!

I forgot to update my Afrivet status. I'm not going. I just couldn't write out that credit card check for $2000 to pay the remainder of my deposit. There were several things that influenced my decision, mainly money stuff. With my medical bills last semester because of my neck I had to pay close to $1500 for MRI, radiographs, etc. and that was money I was expecting to have for Africa. Then when Cobus (Afrivet founder) wasn't getting back to me about our possible web project after several months though he said he was interested and then to email me recently to say he was still interested and gave a date when he'd email more but failed to do so, his reliability/credibility was quickly diminishing in my eyes and I was having second thoughts about how great this program could be if Cobus was so busy. I didn't trust that my $2600 for tuition would be used wisely. Also it was another $2000 for the flight and if I stayed longer that would be more money, etc.

Now that I'm not going I'm allowed to get an iPod Mini. robreed said if I didn't go to Africa I could get a Mini because I really wanted one and he didn't want me to go to Africa because I couldn't afford it. It's $250 versus over $5000. I already have an iPod which is great but I have to have the latest and greatest plus I can get it in PINK and I had it engraved 'Queen of France' since that is one of my better nicknames. It'll be perfect for running, I got the armband since I got a student discount on the mini and so basically the armband was free and my bigger iPod will still be great for studying, etc. It's great for running too but whatever I want a MINI!

There was an online Ralph Lauren sale too so I got a couple pairs of pants. Yeah!

instead of going to the library last night i wasted a couple hours watching that test the nation show and taking the IQ test. what a mistake that was! i had taken other IQ tests before and i was under the impression my IQ was 136 which is pretty good, though my dad has had his tested 'officially' many years back because he blanked out at work one day and didn't remember anything. so they tested his brain pretty good while he was in the hospital for a week or so. my dad says his is 137 and won't forget that his IQ is higher than mine and loves to rub it in. so last night i took this test and according to the show my IQ is 116. that is just awful. the upper range of average is 110. i don't believe this test of course and now will contact Mensa to have it done for real. i guess the only thing that made me feel a little better is that the highest average of the groups present live on the show was the teachers and theirs was 115. i know that's an average so some were higher but my score was higher than any of the averages. teachers/professors were smartest (115), then students (114) and doctors/nurses were third or fourth. i'm sure the doctors are blaming the nurses that were in their group. people could take the test online at home, i couldn't get connected, and they compiled the results. when looking at major cities, boston fell from #1 last year to #2 this year and detroit was #1. when looking at all cities in the US regardless of population, my present town of Manhattan, KS was #2. this is totally crazy!! i wasn't expecting to see that at all. maybe since there's nothing else to do in this town that's what people do on a friday night, sit home and watch TV, and maybe all the morons were out drinking so didn't take it.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Going to Kansas for Vet School is like going to the Special Olympics to play chess.

RobReed, BoyGenius

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!
