One author's iUniverse experience

The Well's current open-to-the-public (sort of--you have to send an email to post) chat-with-an-author is with David Marconi, who has used the print-on-demand service iUniverse.  Macroni's book, Off the Record, which I'm at least considering buying, is about the rise and fall of a touring rock band.  The more interesting part of the conversation, though, is about his experience with iUniverse.  According to the Well conference, you can buy a paperback copy of the book online from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.  The copy you buy will be printed on-demand, so there is no inventory and nobody has to estimate just how many copies are going to sell.
