Zork parody on a wiki. Cory Doctorow:
A Uncyclopedia (parody of Wikipedia) user has created a Zork parody on
the wiki, and many users are adding their own often hilarious turns and
twists to the adventure.
Examine Grue
Man, you've really never played this game before, have you? The Grue devours you before you have a chance to scream.

I'm so tired. Working 60 hours per week for eight weeks, you can get as much done as working 40 hours per week for... eight weeks.
I wish they told me that 100 hours and twelve weeks ago. By radarski@livejournal.com.
Drosophila zombie-gaster. Laser-controlled headless zombie flies. Mark Frauenfelder:
Clive Thompson says: In a story in the current issue of Cell, scientists report that they can control fruit-flies remotely -- by shooting lasers at their neurons. Cool enough, but then they tore the heads off a few flies, and found they were still able to stimulate the remaining neurons -- and even induce them to fly. That's right: Remote-controlled headless zombie flies. Do not miss the video of the headless flies in action, which looks like a freaky outtake from The Ring.

Not quite as dangerous as frying naked. RENT, or STOMP, or CLOMP, or some piece of crap. A little off-topic, but this is a promotional photo from the off-Broadway show COOKINâ™!
Theyâ™re all playing cooks. In the show, theyâ™re cooking a big Korean dinner, rhythmically. (Contain your excitement. CONTAIN IT!) And they put the woman in a chefâ™s coat with the belly cut out. You know, where the burners are. I canâ™t even begin to express how stupid that is. [Crooked Timber] By radarski@livejournal.com.
Love is stoopid. Italy's real 'Romeo and Juliet'. A man in Italy kills himself in despair over his comatose wife, hours before she regained consciousness. [BBC News | World | UK Edition] By radarski@livejournal.com.
