Now our Program Manager is getting real dangerous, he changed some code in our product and checked the changes into the source control system. A PROGRAM MANAGER touched our code (this brings the picture of Lucy (Peanuts) to my mind, yelling in pain and horror being kissed by a dog).
I think I have to get real personal now. The PM is Mike Deem (see WebLog link on the left), and in all fairness: He is an excellent Program Manager and I have a real good time working with him on the Soap Toolkit. If you read this, do NOT try to contact him to make him a work-offer. We need this guy! and Mike: Thanks for doing the changes yourself instead of calling me up late at night ...

During the email-download in the morning and the concurrent browsing session I read this article: http://www.heise.de/english/newsticker/data/jk-25.03.02-004/ about XBox sales in Germany and Europe. As a fellow Microsoftie and a dedicated gamer (living in Germany) I am sorry to see these news. The XBox is a great system IMHO, but marketing in Europe is a disaster. All over the world Microsoft is selling the XBox with a comparable price to the PS2 (an excellent game console, too), just here in Europe Microsoft believes it can sell the XBox with a list price about 40% higher then the PS2 price. You never know how much truth is in these external sales-number reports, I hope Microsoft can make XBox a success here in Europe.
