Document Creation Using PurpleSlurple

Three easy steps to composing a document that contains granular links to external information sources (a.k.a. PSdoc)

by Matthew A. Schneider

Step 1: Prepare to compose the PSdoc

Create a new or open an existing document in an editor (here, above on the left, I'm using MS Word in outline view). Browse to the target content source page with a browser (in this case, above on the right, MS Internet Explorer). Hint: you may want to tile the application windows to facilitate this process.

Step 2: Add PSnumbers to source document

Click PurpleSlurple bookmarklet to instantly transcoded PSnumbers (i.e., granular anchors) into the source document.

Step 3: Drag and drop PSsnippet

A snippet of content and it's PSnumber (a.k.a. PSsnippet) added to the PSdoc.
