Oracle9i vs. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (PDF). A technical article that outlines some of the areas that Oracle is still superior to Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (and also MaxSQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL) in running a non-stop 7x24 database.

The award for the best April Fools joke this year goes to Hugh Kennedy for RFC 3252: Binary Lexical Octet Ad-hoc Transport (BLOAT).

This document defines a reformulation of IP and two transport layer protocols (TCP and UDP) as XML applications.
