Testing on Monday morning.
Secure IM Solution for Small Business. "Secure IM Solution for Small Business "
This looks very interesting. It seems like it is one, small, light-weight client for both IM and RSS news grazing. I am going to give it a try.
The product name is "Vista".
Instant outlining - a test. Just turned on instant outlining. Now I'm testing it. I hope the OPML Coffee Mug and link show up on the home page.
Testing, testing, testing. This is September 25, 2002.
This is Wednesday, and this is yet, another, test post.
I've been working all afternoon to reconfigure my Radio such that one of my categories upstreams to my intranet FTP server, rather than the weblogs.com cloud. The entire process was very frustrating. I think I finally made it work, but not by making the correct configuration change. Rather, it seemed to start working only by magic. Here is a quote posted to my new intranet-hosted weblog:
I hate when computers appear to work by magic. After this last change from passive back to active [FTP mode] (the 2nd or 3rd time I've done this), now, suddenly, all files are properly upstreamed. Dave, I love Radio, but there's way too much magic under the covers.
Dave, I hope you and your smart Userland folk are listening. I just can't shake the feeling that Radio has just a little bit too much of a Rube Goldberg-esque flavor to it. I don't mind the many features that I don't use, but which some find useful, or the quirky web-page-based-GUI-against-local-web-services-applet architecture. Rather, I am troubled that it seems to behave in random ways on random days, and no one seems to know (or care?) why this happens.
As CTO, here, I really want to encourage everyone to blog using Radio. I'm not sure I can.
I'm still here, but VERY busy. Sorry for the lack of posts. I really need to reconfigure this puppy so that it points to my internal server.
Radio UserLand : How to subscribe to the BBC news feeds. "BBC news feeds "
"Today, the BBC announced that they are providing four RSS feeds that can be used with Radio UserLand's news aggregator. "
Brad, check this out. Nice, eh?
Welcome to September. It's my birthday month.
You may notice that I often post spurious messages. Generally, this is in aid of ongoing testing, configuration and evaluation of Radio, blogging and k-logging.
Also, I noticed an occassional bug in Radio where failure to post in the last and first weeks of a month leads corrupt links in the chronological history pages. So, rather than try to fix it, I decided to feature it.
